Safer Internet Day

31 January 2014

Safer Internet Day 2014 will take place on 11th February 2014, with the theme ‘Let’s create a better internet together’.

The day offers the opportunity to focus on both the creative things that children and young people are doing online, as well as the role and responsibility that all stakeholders have in helping to create a better internet.

Free schools packs are available to download here;

  • If you are a parent you can download resources to help start conversations with your children about online safety here;
  • You can also take the Safer Internet Day quiz to find out whether you’re helping to create a better internet;
  • You can tweet and join the conversation online using #SID2014.

If you are still looking for inspiration there are more ideas of ways to get involved here.

WordPress.com stats helper has prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 14,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
